Easter Delights

Easter Delights

I’ve said it before, but I honestly find Easter to be just the best time. You get the first hints of warmer days ahead, buds & blooms of the prettiest flowers & a whole lot less stress than Christmas - & then there's the chocolate of course! However, if you wanted to get some Easter treats of the non chocolate variety I’d love to introduce you to our new products this year - our fun pom pom animal decorations & lush Easter gardens.

Who doesn’t love a pom pom? These little kits - all encased in a handy personalised tin are perfect for a few mindful moments during the Easter break. I love the repetition of winding the yarn and the careful snipping to make the tufts. My girls shrieked with joy at the little fluffy tummies they’d created! These are lovely little gifts to send friends & family as lockdown activities.

I love having flowers in the house at Easter, the colours are just so cheery! I’ll often add some branches or pussy willow to hang our decorations on, the cute little chick looks right at home here next to the bright yellow daffodils. They also look lovely hung around the neck of little milk bottles or jars holding mini chocolate eggs. They’re a great thing to do in the run up to Easter & then you get to put them on display for the Easter weekend.

And for a more outdoorsy activity, we have our fabulous Easter or Butterfly farm gardens. Made & printed in house, these little personalised tins contain the fun little markers for your little ones to colour in with our water soluble pencils & some wheatgrass seeds. All you need to add is some soil & remember to water!

The best part is that the wheatgrass seeds grow so fast! This picture below is just a weeks growth! How I wish my other plants thrived so quickly! It’s so lovely to watch grow, & kids will love how it literally grows overnight. I created a time lapse on the animation app ‘animate it’ - and it was a really fun way to see the speed of the growth. The app is pretty kid friendly so would be a lovely little project to do over the Easter break.

Back to the little pom pom tins – these needn’t be just for Easter. The little characters could be used to spark all kinds of imaginative role play. They could also be used as a lovely keepsake, either hung onto memo boards or looped through the handles of bags for treats. I may put one on each of our place settings at the table for our Easter roast.

Happy Easter!

I hope that you all have a happy & healthy Easter break, however you spend it. I’d love to see how our new products have woven their way into your celebrations. I feel like this year we need this small celebrations more than ever so I’m going all out on the festivities, now if I could just find those extra mini eggs.
