Personalised Tassel Banner Kits

Personalised Tassel Banner Kits
Introducing our beautiful new personalised tassel banner kits. Made from gorgeous cherry wood, each banner is laser engraved with your own personalised phrase. The cherry wood has a wonderful natural grain which makes them a perfect partner to all the natural tones which always seem to creep into my home in the autumn - anyone else have a permanent pocketful of conkers at the moment?!

They’re the perfect size to add to any corner of your home and I love the personal touch they give to an area. The tassels give a pop of colour and festival feel to your walls which lends itself beautifully to warm soulful family homes.

The kit comes with the banner, embroidery thread, instructions and a tapestry needle. Hand sewing is such a therapeutic and mindful activity and can be the perfect way to wind down after a busy day. The simple repetitive motion makes the whole process so satisfying and gives children a real sense of ownership over the piece.

Here are a few different ways I have incorporated them into my home.

Added to a gallery wall - gallery walls are one of my favourite things to bring a bit of personality into the home and these banners are the perfect addition to one. Before making a gallery wall I always lie all of the pictures I want to use on the floor, and take pictures on my phone to see how the formation is looking. You can then change and adjust without putting too many holes in the wall! I love having a real mix of pattern and textures, however I think if you can have an overall key colour scheme - like here where it is blue, green and touches of red, it really makes for a cohesive look.

They look equally fabulous simply hung on hooks to add a little interest. These hooks are hung in our hallway and are for our children’s coats and accessories - they’re installed at child height which has encouraged independence when getting ready from a young age and looks oh so cute!

In a creative space. This is a tiny desk space in my daughter's room. She really has the smallest of spaces, but I think it's so important for children to have a space to make just for themselves. The desk is a drop down one that my father in-law made for her and I love the memo board which houses all her colourful tools and materials, beautiful in themselves. I Iove how little postcards or pictures can also be pegged on for touches of individuality.

I feel quite strongly that children’s rooms should be a space they feel they can personalise and create in at will and a great way to do this is to let them loose with the washi tape! It doesn’t mark walls or peel off paint, so it's a fantastic way to make for quick displays. My daughter is constantly adding leaves, tickets and drawings to her walls and as long as it’s not drawn directly onto the walls, I’m happy! If you have any pictures of the banners in your home we’d love to see them!

The banners are a fantastic activity to do at Christmas while watching a festive film and treats! Perfect for bringing in the season to otherwise quiet corners in your home.
